Galaxy Watch

I Purchased this watch from T-Mobile in May. An update in December made the find my device app unusable. After hours and days on the phone with Samsung representatives I was finally told to get on this Samsung community and post my problems. Supposedly a Samsung representative is supposed to help me. I misplaced my phone throughout the day and use my watch to find it. I just want that feature to work again.

Sorry that happened. They routinely send customers here when they're out of their depth. This is a user-to-user support forum. Community moderators are the only official Samsung reps here.

I personally don't have a Galaxy Watch, but many others do. Hopefully someone else can help you.

They send people here to put in error reports, they don't tell them how to do it though.

I'm sure they just tell people to provide feedback. How vaguely unhelpful.

What are the troubleshooting steps that they have asked you to perform?

You should download the diagnostics for your watch by going to the Wear app, watch settings, device care, scroll to the bottom, diagnostics, it will take you to the Members app and install the plug-in for your watch on your phone. Perform a diagnostics test on the watch. It is pretty straightforward.

In the support tab of the members app there is a feedback section, try to use Samsung find on the watch, after it fails go to feedback, select wearables in the drop down menu, frequency, often, describe what's is not happening when you try to use find. Press the arrow at the top to send. Do not close the members app while it is collecting logs from your phone. The Members app will notify you when you can leave the app.

You will have to use the Google find hub to look for your devices. They broke the find app on the watch in the phone's OneUI 7 update and did not fix it in OneUI 8 and are still working on a fix according to my error report. Put in your own error report to add another voice to the choir. If you want to ping your phone from the watch (if it's in your vicinty and just can't eyeball it) you can still do so from the watch's quick panel.

Another question:

What phone is paired with your watch?

I am trying to determine whether it is a phone series specific problem.

I have never had this problem on any S series phones I have ever owned. Works flawlessly!
