I have a 3 year old dishwasher with a seized waterwall motor.  This seems to be a common complaint.  After removing the motor I found it showed signs of rust.  The gasket around the opening where the assembly was mounted was not fully seated.  I replaced the motor and found it virtually impossible to get the gasket to seal properly.  The design seems to have been done by an amateur.

Has anyone contacted Samsung about extended warranty on this manufacturing defect?  The part should not be failing due to poor installation.

Hi, Jhellek, Welcome to the Community! We understand your frustration that the dishwasher stopped working after the warranty ran out. That's not the experience we would want for you.  We want to help.

Would you provide further detail about what's happening with the dishwasher?

Also, please provide the model number of your dishwasher, and we can make sure we're providing answers specific to your model.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

This is a major problem with this dishwasher.  There are a lot of instances on the internet covering the same complaint.  The waterwall motor is a piece of junk and a complete  failure from an engineering standpoint.  Water leaks onto the motor causing it to seize.  Samsung charges $185 for the replacement motor; you can find it on Amazon for $25.00.  I bought it, and the labeling is exactly the same as the OEM part.

Problem with waterwall not moving forward. Replaced the complete waterwall assembly. Still doing the same thing.
