KitchenMy RF28K9380SR/AA-13 Flex is having ice maker issues but this time it’s not Samsung’s fault. I replaced the ice maker which was a rev A part with rev D OEM part. This only includes the ice maker, auger motor, drain tube, etc were not replaced as a Samsung tech had already replaced all components including control board.
here’s my question. In the far back of the ice maker housing, above the auger motor is a part that’s deformed. I haven’t been able to locate it or its part number. The picture on the left is mine with an example on the right. What is this part, is it replaceable, and does the deformity actually matter? I can see two screws in the back holding this part in place.
Any ideas?

KitchenI don't see the part in the drawing. That's been the problem. And since I'm not familiar at all with that the part does I'm not sure the it will need to be replaced.

KitchenI'm still not sure what part this piece plays, but it's making ice.
