Our ice maker tray cracked and was leaking. So I replaced it with a factory part ordered from Samsung. The replacement went smooth. When I turned the Ice maker back on and did a reset, pressing the reset button, it did not chime at first but did chime at the end of the cycle. I also have unplugged it to do a hard reset and checked the panel for any error codes and did not see any. Is there anything else I am able to do to resolve this without calling for a repair tech?? Thank you for your help...

Hello, Meled314! Itโ€™s great that you were able to install the part yourself. Based on your description, the chime you heard at the end of the reset cycle is actually a good sign; it typically indicates that the ice maker has passed the self-test and is operating properly. Here are some general things I was able to find, but I would need the specific model number for more details. Since it isn't cycling on its own yet, here are a few final steps you can try before considering a service call:
1. Wait a Full 24 Hours
After a reset or a hard power cycle, it can take up to 24 hours for the refrigerator to reach the ideal temperature and for ice production to return to its normal rhythm.

2. Check the Freezer Temperature
For the ice maker to cycle automatically, the freezer must be at 0ยฐF (-18ยฐC) or lower. If the temperature is even slightly higher, the thermostat may not trigger a new harvest cycle. Ensure the freezer isn't overfilled, as this can restrict airflow and keep the unit from reaching the required temperature.
3. Verify Water Supply and Pressure
Even though you replaced the tray, the system needs adequate water pressure to fill it.
> Water Filter: If it has been over 6 months, a clogged filter can reduce pressure enough to stop the cycle. Try removing the filter briefly to see if production starts.
> Fill Tube: Check the small plastic fill tube at the top of the ice maker. Itโ€™s common for these to freeze over, blocking water from entering the new tray. If you see ice there, a quick defrost with a hairdryer on a low setting usually clears it.
4. Inspect the Ice Bucket Sensor
Ensure the ice bucket is pushed in completely and is flush with the housing. If the bucket is slightly ajar or if ice is piled high at one end, the sensor will signal that the bin is "full" and stop the cycle. If youโ€™ve checked these and thereโ€™s still no ice after 24 hours, you can reach out to us directly in private messages using the link here, or we can continue here. I would just need the full model number to investigate this matter further.
