Hi, I am having an issue with my older Samsung TV (TU8000). I have 3 HMDI devices connected, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and Soundbar. The soundbar is connected via the eARC (HDMI2) and I would like to use the eARC audio output to control volume on the soundbar with my remote. This works fine. However, I keep having the TV switch input from HDMI 1 (Nintendo Switch) to HMDI 3 (Mac PC) whenever it reads an input on the Mac. Looking through the forums, it suggests turning off CEC-Anynet+ to disable the auto switching of inputs, however this also turns off the eARC function. Is there any way to control the auto input switching separately from the CEC=Anynet function?

Thanks!

Hey, Joey_22, great question about the eARC feature for your devices. I never really thought about this concern before. However, I know a couple of things that might help with your TV automatically switching inputs when you donโ€™t want it to.
You may be able to disable the CEC on the Mac (Source Device). I'm not sure if these steps will work on your Mac, but it's worth a try. On your Mac, check your System Settings > Displays (or Energy Saver) for any settings related to "HDMI CEC" or "Wake for network access" that might be sending a signal to the TV.

Alternatively, using an HDMI CEC Blocker (a small adapter) on the Mac's HDMI cable will physically prevent the Mac from sending switching signals while allowing the TV and Soundbar to continue communicating via CEC on their respective ports.

Thanks for the suggestion! Iโ€™ll give that a try and report back. I also am considering just getting an external HMDI switch to manage input devices.
