I have a large crack in my dryer's drum. I have spoken to Samsung's customer service. As the machine is out of warranty, the repair costs are estimated at $530, at my expense. Online posts suggest this is a common occurrence with this model. I question the durability and quality of this machine if a critical component like the drum is failing. I believe the machine to only be about 7 or 8 years old.
Any suggestions on mitigating these repair costs?
