Legacy S PhonesNever actually heard of being removed from a group that's inactive. I have an archived group, that is not necessary to be active at the moment, but I and all the others are still listed as members of the group. I don't know the group members at all, so I'd never be able to recreate the group on my own. It is a group that was formed by a cousin when they were ill, and it was their core support and health update group. I also have one small group that one of the members refuses to keep inactive chats in their feed and keeps deleting and and starting another when they want to message us. This usually results in several instances of the same group and then I have to figure out which one is the active group. It's especially annoying because I assign a special tone to that group.
Is this in Samsung messages or Google messages?

Legacy S PhonesHmm. Been using Google messages for 13 years and I've never been mysteriously, automatically removed from a group (even though there were times I wished I was). Before RCS one could not remove oneself unless one was the creator of the group. While group texts are expedient for some things, I just really despise group chats because I don't need to see, or be disturbed by notifications of, every response to the original information.

Legacy S PhonesIs it possible that when you tapped the notification bubble to read or dismiss it there as a "leave group" option that you accidentally tapped?
