Monitors and Memory**Could the answer be that my OS is installed on the 990 and the 980 is empty?
Hello. My 990 Pro's random write speed is %50 lower than my 980. Samsung Magician shows them both at PCIe 4x4. I ran the benchmark at Standard and Full performance mode and there were no changes. Thanks for your help.

Monitors and MemoryBios out of date can be a issue as well and of course your power brick powering the mobo and the mobo itself. Full power everywhere on the mobo requires a big power brick and the mobo itself can be very expensive.

Monitors and MemoryI appreciate the reply. Everything is updated, my PSU is more than sufficient, and this motherboard has enough lanes. I removed the 980 and put the 990 in its place and the random write speed is still 50% lower. Could the answer be that my OS is installed on the 990 and the 980 is empty?

Monitors and MemoryThis is one of the 4 990 Pro's in my Asus W790 work station. All are about half full and have similar performance.
PCIE Gen 4 x 4.
