My Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor (model number: LS27CG556ENXZA) has been showing no signal at resolutions and refresh rates it could run at before it started causing these problems. I am using a HDMI cable and do not have devices that support DisplayPort. It can run at 2560 x 1440 @60Hz but not at that same resolution at 60.01Hz or 59.95Hz; it only shows no signal at those refresh rates. I need it to run 2560 x 1440 at 59.95Hz or 60.01Hz because my hp laptop does not give me an option to run at 60Hz only 59.95Hz or 60.01Hz and that is nothing new. The laptop does let me run the display at 1920 x 1080 @60Hz or 50Hz which is how I'm using it right now and the display doesn't show the no signal issue. Through connecting the display to other devices, I have discovered that the monitor only will show the video feed at refresh rates of 60Hz and 50Hz precisely; those refresh rates do work at 2560 x 1440 resolution. When I say the monitor does not work, I mean it just shows no signal; the laptop still thinks the monitor is connected. At first, I thought it might be a problem with the power adapter but then I bought a new one and it didn't fix anything. Yes, I tried switching HDMI cables but it did not help. I've tried almost all the troubleshooting steps I can find but nothing really helps.
I've contacted Samsung Support about this and the most helpful support I could get from them was that my warranty had expired a month ago. Was it a coincidence that this problem arose just a month after the warranty was over? I will probably never know. They also told me I could take it to a service center but I'm afraid that will cost as much as buying the monitor new.
Please let me know if you have found a fix for this issue on any of your Samsung monitors because I have a feeling that this issue is not just specific to the Samsung Odyssey G5 but might be a problem shared by Samsung's displays across their lineup of displays. Thanks.

Monitors and MemoryCheck the Standard Mode Signal Table in your user manual as the G5 has very strict timing versus resolutions it will operate with. It is very precise with no variations allowed.

Monitors and MemoryAfter sometime of contacting Samsung Support, they finally gave me a one time accommodation, which is something you should definitely push for. After the display was repaired, I noted that the part that was replaced by the repair center was the main board (Samsung BN94-18277A ASSEMBLY PCB MAIN;G55C) which is a $180 part if you buy it. The Samsung repair center confirmed in the job summary what I theorized was the problem: Summary:""..Confirmed internal scaler/E DID failure. Monitor fails to main."
