Hello Samsung Community,
I received my ViewFinity s9 monitor yesterday and used it for the first time. Before going to sleep, I put my laptop to sleep mode (Thunderbolt connected, on its stand), and I turned off the monitor using the remote control.
However, I noticed that every 10ā15 minutes during the night, my laptop would make the "charging connected" sound repeatedly. It seems like the monitor is intermittently delivering power, even though it's turned off.
Even when I select "Power Off" from the monitor, it continues to provide power via USB-C. I was expecting both charging and data transfer to stop once the monitor is off. Also, it seems to start charging again when the battery drops below 80% as I guess. I un-plugged the thunderbolt cable before I re-sleep again.
Is this the intended behavior? Will there be a firmware update or setting to fully cut off USB-C power and data when the monitor is turned off?
Thank you.
