Hello,

I just got my new note20 ultra, after transferring everything from my old S8 , I noticed that all notifications from txt messages, Facebook messages, ring app alerts, email everything makes the same notification sound.

I know I could go into each app and select a different sound but is there a way to enable the app sounds that came with the app?  For example ring app had an alert sound that came with the app, facebook messenger had a distinct sound, can I enable those "default" sounds ?

thanks

I found the answer to my own question. Any app which is "transferred" from the old S8 will have the default system sound. I had to uninstall and reinstall the apps to get the original app sound. I hope this helps someone else.

I am facing the same situation. So, are you saying there is no way to assign custom sounds to different apps' alerts? You have either the default system sound or the app's own?

I did find in the app setting that some apps have the ability to set the notification, but many don't. Kind of annoying that they dumped that feature.
