Anyone noticed that their keyboard app dissappear from apps after the (second) September update?

Been having keyboard problems ever since the last update.

Now can someone explain how does one clear their keyboard Cache without the now missing keyboard app?

Returned the keyboard app Samsung, I'd like control over my own keyboard please, and be able to clear its cache when it's full.

Thank you

Hi @Zapwonder

How to clear your keyboard cache without the keyboard app

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps & notifications or Apps.
  3. Scroll down and find the keyboard app that you want to clear the cache for.
  4. Tap on the app and then tap on Storage & cache.
  5. Tap on Clear cache.

If you cannot find the keyboard app in the list of apps, you can try clearing the cache for all apps. To do this:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps & notifications or Apps.
  3. Tap on See all apps.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the list and tap on Advanced.
  5. Tap on Show system.
  6. Scroll down and find the System UI app.
  7. Tap on the app and then tap on Storage & cache.
  8. Tap on Clear cache.

This will clear the cache for all system apps, including the keyboard app.

Note: Clearing the cache for the keyboard app will not delete any of your saved keyboard data, such as your custom words or autocorrect settings. However, it may help to improve the performance of the keyboard.

If you are still having problems with your keyboard after clearing the cache, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the keyboard app.

To do this:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps & notifications or Apps.
  3. Scroll down and find the keyboard app that you want to uninstall.
  4. Tap on the app and then tap on Uninstall.

Once the keyboard app has been uninstalled, you can reinstall it from the Google Play Store.

I understand that you want to have control over your own keyboard and be able to clear its cache when it is full. I agree that this is important, and I hope that Samsung will provide users with more options for managing their keyboard.

In the meantime, you can follow the steps above to clear the keyboard cache without the keyboard app.

I hope that this will help
