Started happening after the new update. Every update this year has made my phone have some sort of problem. I am missing calls and notifications because I don't know it restarted and i keep having to enter the pin to turn it on. It happens multiple times a day sometimes once a day. Tried everything except factory reset and no I'm not doing that. This is obviously a firmware issue samsung has had problems with and I wouldn't doubt it if they're doing it on purpose like apple did to make us buy the latest phone. Wouldn't be surprised if this post gets taken down since it violates their rules for speaking out about a product I paid for and have been a loyal Samsung customer with many of their products including a neo q led I have to return since it came a month late and broken to bits. Gotta love this post pandemic excuse lol.

Third-party apps can cause random or constant reboots to happen on your phone or tablet. Follow these steps to troubleshoot this issue. You can perform a software update, factory reset, or turn on Safe mode to determine if an app is causing the issue. Note20I know this was from two weeks ago, but mine has also started restarting randomly multiple times a day. I have actually seen it restart twice at work. I was watching something on my phone and suddenly the audio cut out. I thought it was my ear buds that died. I looked down and it vibrated and literally shut off and came back on after a minute. It was flat on my desk. I did not lean anything on the power button. I did not slam it down. I do not have the auto restart option on. It was not updating since I have it to only do updates while on WIFI only. I have the latest update on July 10th.
Ever since that update I have either been waking up to a completely different ring tone for my alarm and the phone saying it has restarted when I know I never set it to restart automatically or restart it my self. Or it has restarted after I have unlocked it with my fingerprint only to have it restart in my hands immediately after (Yes, its gotten that bad that after it restarted itself, it did it again not seconds after.)
My apps were working fine until the update. The processing speed has reduced, apps are crashing more and more. I can't get my Bluetooth devices to connect very often. I have to kinda force the phone and the device to connect three times before forgetting the connection and then it recognizes it on the last try.
I have wiped the cache, I have restarted it (with and without my input). On 7/20 3 pm, I have deleted apps that I thought might be the reason. I thought that was the problem, there was one restart at work, at this time I know I deleted everything I added, but i haven't tried putting it on safe mode. Today 7/21 2:45 am, after putting it in safe mode, the phone restarted again without me pushing anything. It has restarted on and off the charger.
The only time when this has started restarting by itself was when the July 10th update went out. Since then everything has slowed down, crashed and the phone seems to has a mind of its own now.
I don't think a lot of people want to do a factory reset just to put the same update that caused the problem in the first place. Mods, Samsung or whomever cares, please get back to us on what is causing this.
