Updated my phone with the latest software update yesterday 7/7/2022, phone has been acting up when charging, now flickering with green screens. Always On Display isn't pitch black anymore but replaced with a green screen when not in use and just charging. Unplugged at 96% battery and display is showing a tint of green that is flickering. Attempted to do screen recording but not showing the problem. Have it on video using my wife's iphone13 pro.

If your phone is still under warranty, contact Samsung and advise them of the results of the diagnostic test. This sounds like a hardware glitch, not a software error, and is not a typical result of a software glitch (which is usually a result of conflicts in programming). Then please mark this as an accepted solution so it closes the open issue. Good luck.

Sometimes software will come with bugs, if you haven't try soft reset and hasn't fix the problem you can do a Factory reset.

I tried a cache wipe but that didn't work either. I'll try the soft reset. Factory reset is my last option. My eyes are straining with all the flickering whenever I use my phone

In your phone's keypad, type *#0*#
Once your in the diagnostic screen, test the top three colors and also black. Does the black test look black or flicker green?

Thanks for this diagnostics screen code! I did try the black, it was a mint green. I did a screenshot, it has times it fixes itself, i go back to the screenshot and it shows it as pitch black. It seems to trigger every time I wake up the phone after being idle. Then fixes itself after a few minutes of actively using it without it going back to sleep and having its screen turn off. I have yet to do a factory reset, still waiting for a bug fix.

Believe it or not, it fixed itself! My phone was out of warranty, and Samsung's certified technicians quoted me to have the screen fixed for $300. It was the easiest NO answer of my life, looking back, I have no regrets! I try to avoid things that can possibly trigger it now, like avoid charging the phone overnight, or using heavy usage WHILE charging. My basis for heavy usage will be the phone being hot to use like gaming. I remember it took awhile for it to fix itself like putting up with it for 2-3 weeks. To minimize the green screen flickering effect, I turned the screen saver on when it is charging idle. Turn off the always on display for now, like giving it time to rest and figure itself out. I also did a few soft resets and restarts every now and then cache wipes too. Don't forget to back-up your data. I hope this helps. Good luck!
