Samsung Smart TV Home Screen Problems (Freeze, Lag, Navigation Issues)

Our tv isnโ€™t even a month old and the Home Screen stopped working today. I can get into an app like Netflix by pressing the Netflix button and can move around no problem in Netflix or any other app. Itโ€™s just the Home Screen that I can move around or choose anything. I would do a factory reset except I canโ€™t get into setting as itโ€™s on the Home Screen. We have unplugged it, left it off, and still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have this weird issue on my TV where if I click down a couple of times and go to the apps section on the home page (Samsung vision, tv plus, Netflix etc.) my screen is frozen and to stops responding to the remote.

It then automatically goes back to what I was previously watching (whatever is in Now Playing). Weird part is it happens on all Home Screen tabs including Live and Apps

I have tried a full factory reset as well and that did not help. Does anyone know whatโ€™s happening?

My tv Model is UN65U7900FFXZA

Mine is a 75inch Frame tv. Iโ€™m not sure of the model number.

After trying these options and doing a complete factory reset, I still hadn't corrected the home screen issue. I had left the TV unplugged for an hour or so, to no avail.

I then unplugged it from the wall last night and it is now working. Seems the cache does not clear out as quickly as the fix might suggest. I had left it unplugged for over an hour and it didn't work. Leaving it unplugged all night (about 6 hours) seems to have done the trick. 

For me:

Unplugged for 6+ hours.
Press and hold the power button on the TV for 40 seconds.
Plugged TV back in and now functioning normally.

FYI, I had tried EVERYTHING as prescribed by Samsung multiple times before this worked.

I have rebooted (unplugged from wall) several times. I will try the Cold Boot process again with the TV still on.  I have also run diagnostics checks (all was ok) and a full Reset, which is frustrating because I had to recreate everything again.

We were able to get through to technical support. The agent told us that a recent update caused a problem with the home screen navigation.  He offered to send a text message when the issue is resolved. I assume this means Samsung will send another update with the resolution.
