I saw that Samsung is about to delete inactive accounts. I use Samsung services like with my watch and sometimes download from the galaxy store. Does that count as active?

Samsung will delete inactive accounts starting July 31st, 2025, for accounts that haven't been logged into in the past 24 months according to ZDNet. This includes all data associated with the account, like Samsung Cloud data, backups, Samsung Wallet, Samsung Health, and more. Users will receive a warning before their account is deleted, but if you don't have access to the email address linked to your account, you may miss the notice. To prevent deletion, simply log into your account before July 31st.

More details:

Inactive Account Definition: An account is considered inactive if it hasn't been logged into for 24 months.

Deletion Scope: Along with the account itself, all data associated with the account will be deleted, including Samsung Cloud data, Samsung Health, Samsung Wallet, device backups, etc.

No Recovery: Once an account is deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

Notification: Samsung will send a notification to users before deleting their accounts.

Saving Your Account: To save your account, simply log in before July 31st, 2025 according to ZDNET.

Exceptions: Family accounts, accounts used for reward points, and accounts used to purchase products on Samsung's website may not be deleted
