How does a Dynamic Lock Screen make your phone better?

I’ve been hearing a lot about these dynamic lock screens and how they can make phones better, but I don’t fully get it. Like what’s so special about it? Does it just look cool or does it actually do something useful? If you’ve used one lemme know what you think trying to figure out if it’s worth trying or just another fancy thing I don’t need.
