I know very soon will would be seeing the 9th generation of One Ui and I think it's time you change the name from One Ui to GOS(GALAXY OS) and if possible create your own Stable Operating System and move away from android and I think releasing updates to galaxy phones will be way more faster and reliable and also you can optimise apps and your software way more easier and better. Thank you.
Samsung is primarily an electronics manufacturing company, not a software company like Microsoft. Using Android's open source software as a framework allows them to produce devices at a competitive price that would be inflated if they had to develop and maintain their own OS across multiple formats and product designs.
Apple does both, but look at their phones. The variety and selection are minimal when compared to Samsung phones, and perhaps iPhones are not as popular in overseas markets for this reason.
You do know Samsung already tried making its own mobile OS, right? Tizen failed miserably for mobile and was shifted over to TVs and wearables. It's not even in wearables anymore.
Don't forget about Microsoft's Windows phone too! Wait. They couldn't get app makers to rewrite their apps to run on their phones, which killed their attractiveness in the market. Where are their phones now? (How I miss my Nokia Windows Phone.)
Heck, there are still some app makers that only develop apps for iOS.
There are alot of apps on Galaxy store and Samsung even offers better offers on their store...so i think alot of Developers will develop apps with better offers.
