Modes and Routines Feature Request

Hi,

I have 3 small feature requests for the Modes and Routines development team. Please add "Nearby device scanning" from the Settings > Connections > More connection settings page, and "Wi-Fi scanning" and "Bluetooth scanning" from the Settings > Location > Location services page as settings which can be turned on or off as part of modes or routines.

This will be very helpful to minimize occasional latency spikes when using game streaming services, such as Steam Link or Moonlight, without needing to manually toggle these settings on or off, or needing to use 3rd party apps to do so.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

Thanks for your response. Is there no official way to make feature requests then?

Sending feedback is the official way. Posts tagged "feature request" may be passed on by moderators to the dev team, but I wouldn't count on it.

It looks to me as though sending feedback is about error reporting, not making feature requests. I guess I also need to send feedback to make a feature request to have an official feature request method. An extra channel in the community or something like that would be ideal, as it can be useful to see how much community interest there is in a feature request. Anyways, no point talking into the void I suppose. Thanks for your help.

That's how it seemed to me, too. But I've been assured by other community members that submitting feedback via the Members app is the appropriate channel for feature requests as well as error reporting.

For Modes & Routines features, you can probably submit under the Applications, Settings/System or Other categories. I would think you shouldn't need to submit logs for a feature request. Perhaps another member can offer more insight into the process.

If you send feedback, select the category of "others", put a header that says feature request. Your log is collected automatically, but uncheck the radio button to not send the log.
