Ok yeah i know about keys Cafe, i just never saw THAT screen. I don't even know where I'm going for that. the little experience i had with KC it screwed up my keyboard layout and I couldn't find the period key anymore.

To see if the key is mapped correctly, test it in a text editor that natively supports document formatting:
Open Samsung Notes or Google Docs.Type a sentence and press your new key.The cursor should jump forward as an indent.

Samsung Apps and ServicesI have verified the key works in docs.
I wish there was a (true) way to map a string of characters to a single key. I know the screen in the screenshot has that function but it seems to ignore repeated spaces so "[space][space][space][space][space]" or "[space][space][space][space][space]-" gets turned into "[space]" or "[space]-" which is very annoying
