Why isn't there a 'remove' button like on the home screen? Why every time I long press the app I want to remove and drag it out of the folder, by either side or top, does it go back into the folder? Why, when I drag it out of the folder to the bottom, does it taunt me by showing the app drawer and then .167 milliseconds later just allow me to drop a shortcut on the home page, for an app that is already on the homepage, instead of just taking out of the folder? Why when I bring up the list of all the apps, is it only with a plus button to add an app to the folder when I can drag and drop it in? Why not have the list place a checkmark next to the apps that are already in folder and allow you, not only to select an app to add to the folder....but this may blow your mind....allow to then UNCHECK THE APP YOU WANT OUT OF THE FOLDER. Imagine how easy all of these options would be to add! Instead, I have to delete the folder, spilling every single app that was in it back into the app drawer, including the single, lone, app I wanted out, then remake the same folder I just deleted, and re-add all of the apps minus the ONE app I wanted out. FIX THIS!

I've had the same issue and I can empathize with the OP frustration. But, I think I have a solution.

1. Choose one of the apps in the folder and long press. This will cause 3 folder choices to appear: Select, Add to Home, Uninstall.

2. Pick Select. This will cause all apps in the folder to get a Selection Bubble.

3. Select the apps you want to appear in the folder.

4. Once you've selected more than one, the Create Folder option will enable in the upper right. Click on Create Folder. An unnamed folder will be created containing the apps you selected.

NOTE: The original folder from which you were working automatically gets deleted.
