8.5 Document Scan Function on Tab S11

I just got the 8.5 update on my Tab S11 this morning. One of the updated features I was excited to see was the Document Scan function through the camera. On my updated S25, I now have an icon in the app drawer that goes to a dedicated doc scanning function, with the option to save as a pdf. Despite the update, that does not exist in the Tab S11 camera. Am I missing something? It makes way more sense to have it on my tablet, at least for me. 99% of the time when I scan a document its on my tablet.

1. Long press on the Camera icon. 
2. You should see a few icons, one of which is Document Scan.
3. Drag the Document Scan to your desktop.

Thanks, but it appears that function within the camera app was left out. The Settings for scanning are different than on my S25, and "Document Scan" is not one of the icons on that pops up.

@userXSv6O2yWcN Ah, ok. If you feel this is a bug, you can submit a bug report via Samsung Members app -> Support -> Send feedback -> paper airplane icon.

On my Tab S11 with 8.5 I have the option to scan documents. Select the camera then photo and make sure it's toggle is on in settings

Thanks all! I do have the standard doc scanning function that I had before the 8.5 update. I just assumed that my tablet would have the same updated functionality after the 8.5 update that my phone does. Just frustrating because for me that was only part of the 8.5 update that I actually was looking forward to on my tablet. Why go through the effort of building updated functions into One UI 8.5 but then not include them on every device?

Hey userXSv6O2yWcN! Thanks for visiting the Community. Document scanning is a pretty nice function. I actually use a 3rd party app for mines. That may be a good route for you take. Also, ensure your device is fully up-to-date. This may be the reason the option is not there. Follow these steps to update your device:

The scanning functionality and the ability to add a dedicated icon for scanning depends on the version of the camera app installed on your device. My ZFold 7 has camera app version 16.5.00.52 and allowed me to place a scanning icon on the home screen. My S24 Ultra with One UI 8.5 and Tab S10 Plus still with One UI 8.0, have older versions of the camera app installed and don't provide the option to add a scanning icon. I looked for the option to update the camera app on these two devices, but nothing newer is offered by the Galaxy Store at this time.
