I knew I was not going to like the latest. 7 was not fun. Who thought changing the power button to bring up Gemini instead of turning off or restarting was a good idea? My tablet does not have a power icon in the notification window, so I have to use power/volume down to get the power off icon to pop up. Is there a way to override Gemini? Or better yet, get rid of it?

@OldLadyWho Swipe down from the top right side of the screen. You will see the power button icon.

If you want the side button to turn on/off your tablet, go to phone settings -> Advanced features -> Side button. Then change Long press to Power off menu.

@OldLadyWho Please post a screenshot.

If you swipe down from the left side of the screen, you get notifications.

If you swipe down from the right side of the screen, you get the quick panel along with the power button icon, settings gear, etc.

If you want to put both panels back together so that you don't have to reach all the way to the top to access your Quick Panel, go to the quick panel,,press the pencil icon, go to panel settings and select together. I don't like them separate , to hard to reach for me. Now I do a double swipe down anywhere on the screen to access the quick panel.

@OldLadyWho It's above the Bluetooth controls in that screenshot. Next to the Gear icon to open Settings.

What tablet do you have?

Can you provide a screenshot of when you pull down to your quick panel.
I've never seen a Samsung tablet that doesn't have the power off button in the quick panel.
