Ok, I'm starting to get tired of the "new Samsung Dex." Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I feel like it has a long way to go before it actually feels useful. The cmd key opens the app drawer, but doesn't close it when I press the key again, the taskbar is literally just the app bar but with no other useful functions, and Gemini doesn't even open in split view like it did in OneUI7. I really want to use the old Samsung Dex WITHOUT PLUGGING THE TABLET INTO AN EXTERNAL MONITOR! I don't know why they removed old Dex from the selection screen. I love Samsung, but it's becoming a bit harder to do so.
Please go to Samsung official website and contact tech support and let them know that you want the old Dex back. They told me if there will be a lot of requests they will return it.
Hi I have the same issue! I've talked to tech support multiple times and even wrote a letter to their president to return the old version of Dex. They told me that if there will be more requests to their tech support to return Dex, they will do it. Please go to Samsung official website and contact tech support so that they know that there are a lot of us!

They pushed an update that removed functionality from current devices meaning that you have to use an external display and cannot use Dex with a keyboard and mouse without using a large display of some type but here's the thing that really pisses me off; they did the update with about a month or two before they were going to release their new trifold phone that was announced this week. THEY ARE ALLOWING DEX STAND ALONE if you buy they're almost $3,000 phone. That's a move
Honestly, they just took a vital feature of what made the Galaxy Tablets great, and made it exclusive to external displays. I tried my best to get use to this new experience, and I just can't with it anymore. I'm actually disappointed with the direction they are heading. I feel like us sharing our feedback here isn't going to do anything that will bring back Classic Dex as a native option. I love Samsung, but if this keeps up, I might consider switching again.
