Camera on Tab S11 Ultra

I just purchased a Tab S11 Ultra and have tried in vain to flip the front camera to a mirror image. When I open the front-facing camera, in portrait mode, I am looking up and to the left.  I do not know why it is doing this.  The front-facing camera is on the side of the tablet rather than on the top.

Please, if anyone knows how to change the front-facing camera to show me actually looking at the camera (or straight ahead), I would greatly appreciate it. If I can't get it changed, then I am going to have to send it back, as it will not do me any good, as I teach online, and the app shows me looking away from my students, and even when I take a picture in portrait mode, I am not looking at the camera.

Ok, so it will only work in landscape mode. This does me no good.  So, I will send it back and find a tablet with a front-facing camera on the top instead of the side.   I need the front-facing camera in portrait mode 99% of the time for the teaching app I am using.

Thank you very much for your help.   Have a great day.

The camera placement is for landscape use. How most people use their tablets. Alternatively, while in landscape you can set the camera to be in portrait mode in landscape use.

Yes, I do understand that, but unfortunately, the teaching app I have will only let me use it in portrait mode.

How do I change it (in detail) to portrait mode in landscape mode?

Thank you for your help.

Press more, there will be an option for portrait mode. See if that works for you.

Hello userjgf23NRomG, thank you for reaching out regarding the camera on your new device. We definitely understand your concern and would like to verify that, the tablet does have a rear and front camera that you can use the steps provided from @Robin621k to see if this will provide you with the resolution you're requesting. If this does not correct your concern, you will need to contact the app developer and submit feedback regarding the incompatibility.

Are you holding the tablet in landscape?
It's the only way it works.

I believe on the tablets (I could be wrong), the selfie view flips itself after the picture is taken.  There is a setting to save selfies as previewed, meaning that what you see in the viewfinder will be what appears  in the photo.  If that setting is not on, the photo will flip to be reversed.  See if you have that setting in your camera settings. If you do, try with the setting both on and off to see which is the one you want.  You can also go into the gallery editor and flip the photo the way you want it.
