How to remove unwanted adds from app screen

Hello all.

I have a galaxy A9+ tablet which I use all the time , recently a Tik Tok install banner appeared across my app screen it is annoying and not wanted, I have tried all or most online advice to remove/ delete it but nothing works. Some advice and help please.

Can you please provide a screenshot so we can see what you're seeing? The more info you provide, the more likely it is users in this forum can help you.

Are you using Nova Launcher, by chance? They recently introduced ads into the free version of their launcher.

If not, and this is happening on the default One UI home screen, you have most likely installed some kind of malicious app. In this case, you will need to locate the offending app and uninstall. These kinds of apps are usually games or claim to be some kind of utility like a flashlight or calculator, but are really a vehicle for pushing intrusive ads like you describe.

That is not the default One UI app drawer. It looks like you are using a third party launcher, probably Nova. You will most likely need to pay for the premium version of your launcher to remove ads.

Alternatively, switch back to the default One UI Home for an ad-free experience.
