Gmail issue on Galaxy Tab A11+

Wondering why my emails do not scroll while using Gmail on my Tab a11+? They seem to flicker & dissappear while trying to scroll through the emails. I have cleared cache, uninstall updates & restarted several times but it still does not solve the issue. Any suggestions? Thanks

Transitioning works for me but i have to do it for every email.  Very frustrating.

It certainly is. I uninstalled Android System Webview as mentioned above and the issue went away. However, I think it has increased the battery drain. I will watch it for a couple of days and may reinstall the latest Webview update in case it is indeed causing the battery to drain faster.

I also confirmed that this issue doesn't happen on my phone. Seems to be and issue with the tablet app only.

Yes, it's fine on my phone too. Just weird why it's an issue with the tablet only. But thanks for a solution. Much appreciated ☺️

Mine on Galaxy Tab S8.  Rotating with opening of each email is a pain but I look forward to an update fix.  Better than waiting on Apple in any case.

Same issue with Gmail flickering on our tablets S9 and A9

A lot of people report that installing updates for the Android System WebView system app (not the Gmail app) fixes the issue for now. 

You can do it in one of these ways: 

1. In Settings > Apps > Android System WebView > Three-dot-menu > Uninstall Updates
2. In the Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview and press Remove update

Yay, that worked but will we miss out on anything without updates.. ? Hopefully they can fix the problem soon but thanks so much for this resolution!
