Need help with pop up

Can someone help me. I've been trying to fix my husband's tablet. He is getting nonstop pop-ups. It is saying there are viruses on here. I've installed Norton 360 and it says there are no viruses. Where do I go from here

Another possibility is that you have a malicious app installed. It could provide some minimal useful feature but in reality be a malicious source of pop ups.

It's a fake scam advertisement pop-up. don't download anything that it tells you to. I recommend formatting the tablet and installing a VPN like Nord that disables scam advertisements and websites.

Those pop-ups are often caused by browser notifications or a recently installed app, not a virus. Clear the browser’s site data/notifications and remove any unfamiliar apps. Don’t click the virus warnings—if Norton shows the device is clean, that’s reassuring.
