Ran into a new problem with Samsung Smart Switch agent. In the Galaxy Store, the app is showing as being installed, and the latest version is updated. However, once the big blue button (which shows "open") is tapped, nothing loads. Uninstall/Reinstall... Nothing, Rebooting... Nothing, Disconnect Internet connection... Nothing,
I'm not sure if it's an oddity, but in the Google Play store, the app is showing that it needs to be enabled. Again, when tapped, nothing happens. And now the KICKER, all is :hundred_points: functioning on the phone without issue. First time for everything. Obviously there's a setting SOMEWHERE in the tablet, but I have not been able to locate it as yet.

Just as an experiment, I would boot the tablet into safe mode and see if Smart Switch works any better in that mode which prevents any third-party software from running, which could be interfering with Smart Switch. Looking on my tablet, Smart Switch has permissions for Calendar, Call logs, Contacts, Microphone, Nearby devices, Notifications, Photos & videos and SMS so that it can run and backup all of these items. If you can't successfully get Smart Switch working, here in the Members app you can open the Support tab on the bottom right when you open the app and create an error report, which will go to Samsung tech support with collected data logs from your tablet, which hopefully, will provide helpful information relevant to your problem.
