My grandma's tablet has been reset but is now stuck in Google setup mode because JavaScript is turned off in chrome. I can't access settings to change it
Reset the tablet again and start over. Chrome settings would have absolutely nothing to do with signing into her Google account to set up the tablet. Chrome is a Google product, but the Operating System is Android which requires signing into a Google account. In the case of a reset, it needs to be the exact same Google account that the tablet was originally set up with or was signed into at the time of the reset. Chrome and javascript are irrelevant to the process. Perhaps you are stuck in Google setup mode because you are trying to use a different Google and/or Samsung account than the original.
Are you trying to use your Grandma's device as your own because she either gave it to you, or you inherited it? If that's the case, I'm sorry to say that, unless you know the original account information to sign into the device or sign it out of the accounts, the tablet would be useless to you.
