I installed Google Phone app as default application for calls as I wanted their option for call recording.
However it didn't work and they told me to address here.
Long story short I had Xiaomi previously and was very happy with this feature. I don't mind if caller is informed upfront that the call will be recorded.

On the S models when you place a call with the Samsung Dialer you will see a little tape on the left hand side of the screen once the call is connected. I'm not entirely sure if the A model has it at the moment.

Manufacturer-Specific Implementations: While both phones run Android, Xiaomi and Samsung use their own customized versions of the operating system. Xiaomi's custom operating system, MIUI, has historically been much more permissive with features like call recording. They have often integrated call recording directly into their native dialer and maintained this functionality even when Google has tried to restrict it.
However I would expect that I can record the call if I inform the calling party upfront.
So your using a Redmi Note, if so you would need to contact Xiaomi and Google.

That button is available only in 1 party consent states.
If they live in California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington, it will not be there. It is GEO blocked
