I've seen several recommendations to clear the system cache and questions on how to do this.
Follow these instructions:
- Turn OFF your phone and remove any charging cables
- Press and hold the Volume UP and POWER buttons at the same time
- Hold these buttons until the Android Recovery Menu appears.
- Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight wipe cache partition
- Press the POWER button to select it
- Press the Volume DOWN button to highlight Yes and press the POWER button to select it
- After the Cache Wipe is complete, menu items will reappear, with Reboot system now highlighted
- Press the POWER button to select it
Note that repair system apps is also in the recovery menu if you need it.
The clearing of the system cache will not delete any files or settings.

Clearing the Cache partition is regurgitated too often on here. It might help for the odd issues but 95% of the time will do nothing.
The majority of users should just say out of Recovery Mode altogether.
