3 duplicate Google messages apps

Can anyone explain why or how I now have 3 duplicate Google messages apps on my phone? When I go to the app selection Google messages shows up 3 times back to back.

Thats strange what happens when you tap each one of them.  can you see what happens when you uninstall or disable one of them see if what you do to one also happens to the other 2

They dont give you the option to disable. But when I open it each one they just send me to the messages app.

I have to admit this one has me a little confused since I've never seen this before.  I'm looking around to see what might have caused this

@qmau5 I would try wiping the Cache Partition to see if that fixes it 

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

• Power off the device: Ensure your Samsung phone is completely turned off. 

• Enter recovery mode: Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button simultaneously. Release both buttons when the Samsung logo appears. 

• Navigate to wipe cache partition: Use the Volume Down button to scroll through the options in the recovery menu and highlight "wipe cache partition". 

• Select wipe cache partition: Press the Power button to select the highlighted option. 

• Confirm the action: Use the Volume Down button to select "Yes" and then press the Power button to confirm. 

• Reboot the device: Once the cache partition is wiped, the menu will reappear. Use the Volume Down button to select "Reboot system now" and then press the Power button to restart your phone.

I have seen this before, usually a WCP gets rid of this glitch.

I just noticed on my phone. i have two. Unable to trash one of them. This happened after the update to the beta. I'll try the above see if it helps

Ha, I found the issue by complete accident.
Its the messages beta that's causing this. I have 2 icons too. It will be fixed with the next update.
