Feature Request: Bring back mute from Volume button on the side of the phone

I dislike how using Vol - now only goes down to vibe mode. Please reconnect silent to the button. Thanks.

You can create this routine to use the exact same action you are used to.  To use the button action, you have to download Good Lock's Routines+ module.

This would almost work if, you know, I even had the ability to set a routine on button action. They must have gotten rid of that feature too.

If you go to setttings/sounds and vibration, you will see where you can choose, sound, mute, or vibrate.  You can also bring up the volume panel and adjust the individual volumes for the various settings that use sound,

One UI 8 just installed on my S24 Ultra, and now my volume button won't mute vibration. I literally use this every day to quickly stop vibration for meetings, etc. One UI 7 messed up so many things for me, now this. I will no longer be a Samsung customer after 15 years of using their products. This is too much. Samsung you are upsetting the faithful users that have stood by you. I can no longer support this brand anymore.
