My Flip 7 Text sound notification is not working when it's closed.

I have checked the app settings, volume, and do not disturb. It has the notification glitter, and pop-up, but no sound. Can someone help with what I am missing?

I found the issue was my watch was on mute, which in turn muted my ohone... who would have known this...
