Galaxy Note PhonesStarting a few days ago I can't seem to use my Note20 Ultra's camera in any third party applications. Notably Snapchat, Instagram, and Messenger. Snapchat says it can't open the camera, the other two bring the camera UI up but don't work.
But the camera itself works fine, it can take and save pictures no problem.
I've tried:
- Restarting my phone
- Force stopping all of those apps
- Wiping the cache of those apps
- Uninstalling and reinstalling those apps
- Resetting my phone settings
- Wiping the Cache Partition on my phone
So far, no luck. Looking for advice.

Galaxy Note PhonesHello, Welcome to the Community. We understand how frustrating it is to not be able to use the camera in your favorite apps. Thank you for listing the troubleshooting you have already tried.
There is one more thing you can try. The Camera may not work if it hasn't been given the correct permissions. Navigate to and open your phone's Settings, then tap Security and privacy. Tap Privacy, and then tap the switch next to "Camera access" to turn it on.
We also recommend submitting an error report in the Members app to submit the concern to developers. https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/mobile-devices/raising-an-error-report-via-samsung-members-app/
As you have already tried many of the troubleshooting steps recommended, a final step would be to back up the phone and do a factory reset. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
If you continue to experience concerns with the camera in third party apps, we recommend reaching out to the app developers for additional assistance.
