Removing flags from emojis?

Anybody know why and when Samsung removed the Korean and Japanese flag from the emojis? I am learning the language and was talking to someone and thought it would be cute to just pop the flag up cuz I had seen it and used it before in the emojis but when I went to look for it, it's completely gone. I know it's hard to pinpoint but I'm just curious.

Samsung Note 20 (I know I need to upgrade, working on that) I tried searching it by typing in the country and it didn't pop up but just looked at all the flags collectively like you did and I see it now. Thanks

Yeah the search didn't find the Japan flag for me either but I saw it was available.
