Why is Samsung getting rid of their messages for Googles? ๐ญ I will miss the personalization. June or July, it's saying all of my messages will be converted to Google Messages.
If you make g.messages default app on each android phone what do you expect? Most of the people they just use it without understanding the differences. Show me the statistics before 2020 when s.messages it was default app on Samsung phones how many people used g.messages
You know, I had been using Google messages for YEARS prior to owning a Samsung phone. I opened Samsung Messages and used it for exactly one day and couldn't stand it - switched right back to Google. Even now, I still hate to open the app when I have to switch to help someone with something. I'm quite sure the majority of users feel the same way. It's just that you SM addicts are very, very, very, very vocal about your dislike of anything other than SM. There are more serious, pressing issues in this world than a piece of software.
Also, being the default on Android or not, unless it's someone's very first phone ever, they know how to look for an alternative if they are not satisfied with the default app.
Same for me with g.messages. I used only a day. I need a simple message app. I don't need an app to have an account on it and online stuff to send an sms from the phone and to receive it on the fridge. They're doing everything how they want that's the main problem. I don't need RCS I need a simple app part of the phone and the UI sms from the carrier. If I need stuff like that I can use WhatsApp, signal google or whatever. I'm not addicted. I don't want to be a product like you with AI on the default sms app. If this is a simple problem what are you doing here,go change the world. And if you like google stuff what are you doing in Members? Why you don't use a pixel
If a lot of people are complaining means a lot of people are using it.
And no one is saying to remove GM from Samsung, we don't want SM do be discontinued because I don't think is money problem because they have a lot of apps on Store from samsung that no one uses and are still there.
I really wish Samsung would charge their mind about discontinuing Messages - it's so much more esthetically pleasing and smoothly functioning than Google messages. Samsung's appeal was a seamless, coordinated device, now it's turning into a Frankenstein . Very disappointing.
