Who else is annoyed about Samsung switching to Google Messages?

I just read Samsung is forcing users as of July 2026 to Google Messages and I'm quite annoyed about it. I'm a Samsung lover because I like their setup. If I wanted to use Google, I would get a Google phone. I hate Google Message!

It is sad that someone's whole world has to resolve around a simple app when other's are available.

Reminds me of that old NY lottery commercial where they announce the prize amount and the whole venue empties out.  My guess is 95% who say  they will, won't.

I had an apple 3g and been samsung since then. Now with messages not being sent on google messages, I will be back to apple. Time to invest in apple. This is going to **bleep** off millions and they will also switch.

Oh, I don't think millions - thousands, perhaps, but not millions.  Most only want a functional messaging app and don't care which one it is.  Many, many  Samsung users have been using Google messages for years and don't even know or care that Samsung messages is ending.

In regard of Samsung messaging, I never understood Samsung not being like apple to have their own o. S in everything I believe that Get Samsung one UI will be much better than Android and that will get them away from Google.
