How to rename a file

All my pics, docs, etc are automatically named ie 22345.jpeg or 34566.doc, PDF etc. 

Every now and then I've renamed them ie lease2025.doc by opening the file and clicking in the upper right to edit then rename. I can no longer find the icon to edit and rename. Help. TYIA

One way to do it is to use My Files. Long press on the name of the file. Then click the 3 dots in lower right and select Rename.

When saving from an app you probably get to rename, when downloading from a browser you get to rename before you tap to download, otherwise as mentioned above, rename them one file at a time...
