Galaxy S21Hey, is anyone having an issue with their SIM card not working after updating to One UI 7?
Before the update, my phone model was SM-G990U1, but after the update, it shows as SM-G990U1/DS.
Now I get the message: "Emergency calls only. Invalid card." — even when no SIM is inserted.
In the settings, there's now a SIM Manager that shows a SIM 2 (Unknown), which shouldn’t be there, as my phone is a single SIM model.
It seems like the update installed software intended for the dual SIM version of the phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated — thanks!

Galaxy S21That might work for the regular S21, but it likely won’t for the S21 FE. That model doesn't support eSIM — it's either a single SIM or a dual SIM variant. I have the single SIM version, and the SIM tray physically only has one slot. What's strange is that after the update, my model now shows as SM-G990U1/DS (which is the dual SIM version), even though the hardware hasn’t changed.

Galaxy S21I have been experimenting trying to figure out what will recover it. The only thing that has consistently worked has been to power off the phone for five or more minutes. That got me thinking about power/heat. While my S21 does not feel hot, today when my SIM went missing while I was in my truck, I held my phone up to the air conditioner vent. For the first time the SIM recovered without any other actions.

Galaxy S21Hi,
You say you bought this US phone - person who sold it to you, changed the firmware from another carrier - more likely from Metro by TMobile.
So the new firmware became incompatible (though old was fine). Samsung was partly a culprit but they are keen to sell a new phone than fix your prob.
You can always downalod and install Metro by TMobile from your PC.
