Unable to copy & send text message received from iphone

When I press on a text message received from an iPhone (I'm sure this is the problem) it comes up with prompts but as soon as I take away my finger the prompts disappear. Whereas if I receive a message from a. Android phone I can press on that message & the prompts come up & stay so I can then copy & send the message onto another person. There was a recent update on my S21+. Would this be a possible reason why I can no longer perform the above as described? I'm sure in the past it didn't matter about the brand of the phone which was sending the message. I'm confused & frustrated because I use this prompt a lot.

Hello, welcome to the Community, and thanks for reaching out. I can understand how confusing and frustrating this can be, and will see if we can narrow down the cause. Does it do this on another messaging app? What messaging app(s) are you using and experiencing this behavior on?  Try and see if this behavior is consistent among other messaging apps, such as Samsung and/or Google Messages. If this is happening with a third-party messaging application, you can troubleshoot that specific app, but if that fails, you would need to contact the app developer(s) for further assistance (it could be something as simple as a compatibility issue with a new software version, since you mentioned this happened after an update). 

You can try clearing the cache and data on the affected messaging app if it's only being experienced by one of them. This guide can walk you through it: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/#:~:text=Open%20Settings%2C%20and%20then%20swi....

If it is the default messaging app that is affected, you can see if a third-party application is responsible for this behavior, using Safe Mode. The guide is here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

You can also try clearing your device's cache partition with the following steps:
 - Power off your device.
 - While the device is powered off, simultaneously press and hold the power and volume up buttons. 
 - Once the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons. Your device should boot into recovery mode. 
 
 Using the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select: 
 
 - Navigate to "wipe cache partition" and press power. 
 - Select yes to confirm. 
 - Navigate down to "Repair apps" and press power. 

Lastly, you can try a factory reset on the device. This will wipe the S21+, so back up everything you wish not to lose prior, as explained in the guide: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
