System Update Loop

Installed system update yesterday. No errors. But, after notification that update installed, immediately says UPDATE PENDING and installs the update again. 

Please help. 

Love the phone and no other issues. 

Tried to chat with customer support, but just get errors after I fill out the forms.

I will look into them...  the fact that it even hints at a factory reset (where I'd lose everything) is scarey...   If it wasn't telling me that it successfully updated the phone, it would be one thing.  But, something is broken in the app or the process.   I will work on determining how to clear the cache and removing the download update.   Thanks for sending the link!

Does the phone show whether it took the update or not when you go to Settings >> About Phone >> Software Information? If it did, and the phone is usable, it may be better to just wait for the One UI 8 to show up and see if that gets rid of the update loop.

Another option may be to update using Smart Switch if you have a PC or laptop to connect the phone to.

I've been having the same problem since 11/01/25. I had to turn off auto updates. It still tells me to run the update, but it doesn't restart my phone multiple times a day.

Its an update stack
Takes 1-2 hours to get all of them downloaded and installed, look at the bottom of each download you'll see a date for example security patch Feb 2025, then March 2025, then April ect ...
Download and install these until you complete the migration to the new Ui8 ✅️

Download and install each
Takes 1-2 hours to catch up depending on how far behind you are on the updates
