Installed system update yesterday. No errors. But, after notification that update installed, immediately says UPDATE PENDING and installs the update again.

Please help.
Love the phone and no other issues.
Tried to chat with customer support, but just get errors after I fill out the forms.

Apparently what is causing the problem is that as of 1 October 2025 update to One UI 8 became mandatory. That update has to come from your service provider. Many service providers have not yet made it available. As a result as soon as the update completes the check for updates feature sees that the date is after 1 October and that it is still at One UI 7 so initiates another update. You need to contact the support people with your service provider or change service providers.

This is not the solution to the problem described.

Poorly managed update package from Samsung.
The update package seems to be in pieces to the unaware user, so that it will do one update at a time to finally reach the proper completed update UI 7.0, first by going by the numerical updates towards the final solution and then by the monthly updates. It was about seven updates on my phone (in October 2025).
I'm sure they released proper instruction for the update, and I'm sure they had a complete package to do it all at one time, but heck I didn't see it, and I assume hundreds of thousands other users were unaware. I pieced together on how to do it by reading several posts on several sites of people having the same problem.
Mostly people giving the help saying to factory reset or some other gawd awful solution that doesn't fit the issue. Most solutions were providing a solution to a phone that resets on a loop.

I just rolled with each individual update until it was finally done.

My unlocked S22 ultra is stuck on a boot loop. This seems to be a common occurrence with these devices and samsung needs to make it right by repairing anyones devices that have similar issues. It is not ok to deploy updates that break phones outside of warranty and then require payment to fix the issue. I need this fixed asap.

To force the phone to power down, press & hold the power button + volume down until it turns off.

Clear device cache by following these steps (ignore step 1):

1) Turn off your device.

2) Press and hold the Volume Up button and the Side/Power button until you feel a vibration and the Samsung logo appears. Let go of the buttons.

3) You will now be in Android recovery. Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Wipe cache partition."

4) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

5) Use the Volume buttons to highlight "Yes."

6) Press the Side/Power button to execute.

7) "Reboot system now" will already be highlighted. Press the Side/Power button to execute.

Will this delete anything off my phone? I have never done this since I had my S22 Ultra since day 1.

This will only delete temporary system files. All your data will remain intact. It is recommended to perform a device cache wipe after every system update.

It will clear the device cache by removing temporary system files that may be interfering with the update process. Your data will remain intact.
