I updated to 6.1 a few days ago and, I could be having a moment but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to change certain app notifications.

So, my messages app, I use Google messages. I know how to set a tone for specific people but messages from everyone else are using general notification tone for everything. I want Google messages to have a different tone. It used to be in notifications. But now it's not and I don't see it in Google messages settings.

Am I right or am I 🤪?

Its Off by default with One UI 6.1 😁

First Turn This On:

•  Settings  >
•  Notifications  >
•  Advanced Settings  >
•  Turn "Manage Notification
Categories for Each App" On

I'll post it just in case:

Change Notification
Sound for Each App:

•  Settings  >
•  Apps  >
•  Google Messages  >
•  Notifications  >
•  Allow Notifications Must be On  >
•  Notification  Categories  >
•  Click on a Category  >
•  Sound  >
•  Choose a Notification Sound.

Open your phone settings and go to notifications then scroll down to advanced and toggle on show manage notifications categories for each app then you will be able to change the sounds for messages1712005304943.jpg
