I use the Samsung calendar app, and I recently added a calendar that is synced through my Google account (it shows up under my Google calendars).  But it automatically added notification alerts for 15 minutes before each event on that calendar even though in my Samsung calendar app I have it set to default to no alerts.  I also have my Google calendar set to default to no notifications.  I don't see any way to turn off notifications for a specific calendar, only to stop showing that calendar completely.  Is there any way to adjust the alert settings besides adjusting each event one by one?

Are you setting the "no notifications" in the notification settings or in the calendar settings? In Google Calendar, open the side menu and go to settings.  Under your email address, tap "my calendar", then scroll down to default notifications and tap the notification duration.  A popup will appear and you can choose "no notification" as the default notification setting.  You can also, just when adding a new event to that calendar, tap the "x" next to the notification to delete it.

I don't use the Google Calendar app, so I was going by the settings in my browser that were set to default to no notifications.  But it seems the issue was that the platform I used to subscribe to the calendar automatically added notifications.  I ended up unsubscribing to that calendar and finding a different way to create a calendar without notifications.

As long as you found a solution that works for you.  However, you initially said the notifications you were getting were through your Google account and linked to Google calendar, so adjusting the settings in Google calendar would work.
