Galaxy S23Open your recent apps and tap the google message icon above it and then select App info scroll down to Notifications and tap then go to Notification categories and then tap on Incoming messages and you should see the option for Sounds to pick
A easy way is too open Google messages and click your picture in the the top right and select messages settings then click Notifications and click on Behavior, sounds & more
