Text message theme

I just got the s23 ultra and I am using a previous theme I had from my s9. But, my text messages theme is not downloaded? It only has the option for light and dark themes. It's not using the theme on my previous theme. Even if I do a trial for a new theme, my text messages don't change. Anyone know how to fix this?

That's because the default text message app on 21,22 and 23 ultra has Google text messaging as default

I changed the default app from Google to the Samsung messages and it still doesn't change it 😪

You definitely change it samsung message to default got to samsung folder :open_file_folder: and select samsung message or should be in your app drawer

Oh my gosh. I figured it our. I had my messages in DARK MODE. Once I changed it, I got themes for my messages
