Your ringtone sound and media sound are two different things. Is it possible that you have turned down the ringer, but not the media sound?

To check, you can click the 3 dots at the top of the slider that appears when you push your volume buttons. This will open the expanded volume panel, which gives you full control over your various volumes.

Your volume should not be going up by itself. More likely, there are accidental volume button presses or some other issue, such as faulty volume buttons or a case that is pushing buttons down by itself.

Even so, here are some things that might help.

1) Turn on loudness normalization. This is a setting that tries to prevent sound from being too loud or quiet when switching between media.

2) Set up a routine to set specific media volumes for specific apps. To do this:

Settings > Modes & Routines > Routines > + (Create Routine) > If: App opened (select desired app) Then: Media volume (select desired volume.)

This will ensure that your app media volume is always set to where you want it.1755082894309.jpg1755082894675.jpg

Have you tried setting up routines to automatically adjust the volume?

Next time, please start a new post if you have an unrelated question.

For your SIM card issue, it sounds like it is not seated properly. Use your PIN tool to open the SIM drawer and make sure the SIM card is placed properly and then close the drawer.

If your phoneโ€™s volume suddenly increases while scrolling through social media apps, itโ€™s usually caused by software settings or app behavior, not a hardware problem. Many apps like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube automatically adjust sound levels between posts, making one clip play louder than the next. This happens because each video has different volume levels or because the appโ€™s auto-normalization feature is inconsistent.

To fix it, first check the sound settings in your phone and apps. On Android, turn off options like โ€œAdaptive Soundโ€ or โ€œVolume Levelingโ€ under Sound settings. On iPhones, enable โ€œSound Checkโ€ in Music settings to balance audio levels. If you use Bluetooth headphones or speakers, disconnect and reconnect them, since a connection glitch can cause sudden volume jumps.

Also, disable or uninstall any equalizer, sound booster, or audio enhancement apps, as they can interfere with volume control. Keeping your phoneโ€™s software and social media apps updated helps, since this issue sometimes comes from bugs. If the problem continues across all apps, restart your phone or boot it in safe mode to see if another app is causing it. In most cases, these steps stabilize the sound while scrolling through videos or reels.
