OK, so I have the S24 Ultra and upgraded to One UI7 last night. There are three issues that are relally frustrating me about this update:

1. There seems to NO way to clear notifications short of tapping on them and opening the app that the notification came from. You can't swipe them away, and there's not even see a 'clear' button to tap on to clear the notifications.

2. There are no details as to what a notification is about, just what app sent it. For example, with One UI6, say you got a notification from a news app, The notification would be accompanied by a short synopsis of what news story is that they are notifiying you about. That's handy to have as at least then you decide if it's a story you want to actually read or not.

I can't seem to find anything in the notification settings to fix these issues. I consider myself to be pretty smartphone savvy, but I'm at a loss on this one. Not too happy with the changes to the notification panel at this point.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

To wipe the device cache:

  1. Power off your device.
  2. Power up while holding down the Volume up key and the Side key until the Samsung logo appears.
  3. An Android recovery menu will appear.
  4. Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Wipe cache partition.
  5. Click the side key to select it.Use the Volume down key to scroll down to Yes.
  6. Click the side key to select it. The Cache will be wiped almost instantaneously.
  7. Click the side key to select "Reboot system now"

@BoxGuy Have you wiped the device cache partition after the update?

I'm not seeing any of the behavior that you mention. The notifications still swipe away and details are shown.

"device cache partition", sorry I have no clue what this is, nor can find it in the settings. Could you be a little more specific?

It clears out any temporary values which might have become corrupted or are incompatible with the update.

It does NOT remove apps or personal data.
